On a crisp winter day last week I took a little trip to the shiny new Loaf showroom (or Slowroom as they have renamed it) in Battersea to see the new space for myself. I had heard lots about it and thought it was high time I paid it a visit. I was invited along by the lovely Loaf team to attend a slipper making workshop – read about the craft workshop here – so I went along a little early to explore the showroom first.
What to say about this space? It. Is. Beautiful. If you adore their catalogue images you will be in heaven in the showroom – it’s the catalogue brought to life. There are room sets everywhere to fall in love with, sofas to sprawl on, a mattress testing area, an ice cream parlour, boxes piled high with swatches and a gift shop packed with lovely little treats to take away if a sofa is slightly out of your budget.
The showroom is nestled under the arches right by Battersea rail station and as such there are little nooks and corners tucked away throughout the space that are furnished with comfy chairs, radios and books to leave boyfriends / children / partners happily ensconced while you browse in peace. Below are a few snaps to give you an idea of the space, but what are you waiting for? Go! Just go. You’ll love it.
