Another vintage book for you this week and today I’m going back in time with the brilliant ‘Modern Retro’ by Caroline Clifton-Mogg. It’s a brand new book (out now) but the images are original retro, as they are all taken from the back catalogue of the Cote Maison magazine archive.
If you’ve ever picked up an interiors magazine on a French holiday you’ll be familiar with the titles of Cote Maison, Cote Sud, Cote Ouest and Cote Est (one of the four always ends up in my suitcase). And the images are pretty fabulous. From the antique dresser and butler sink above, to the kitchen diner below the book is a glorious mix of styles and eras. Well worth a browse.
